Popees Baby Care, a well-known retailer of baby care items, including apparel, has opened a new store in Ranni, Kerala, to begin its domestic retail expansion. In the future, it intends to open in important markets such as Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and major metro cities throughout the nation.
Shaju Thomas, chairman of Popees Group, commented on the expansion, expressing excitement about increasing their presence in Kerala, which reflects the rising demand for baby and childcare products in the region. He noted that consumers have become more discerning and now expect high-quality products.
Popees Baby Care intends to further open 42 new locations in India to increase its retail presence by FY ’26 and take the store count to 118 locations. Additionally, the brand will launch internationally in the Middle East by opening showrooms at the Dalma Mall in Abu Dhabi and the Sahara Centre in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
Popees offers a variety of products catered to infants including apparel and maternity wear. The company’s apparel offerings include clothing up to 6 years of age which contain shirts, sweaters, tops, T-shirts, leggings, pants and more. The company currently has 84 stores nationwide.
The company also currently operates three manufacturing plants, which employ over 2,000 people, and having a monthly production capacity of 5 lakh garments.
