Fabindia, a Lifestyle retailer has entered the western wear segment with the launch of a new sub-brand, Fabels.
The brand targets consumers seeking western wear that combines contemporary global styles with Indian craftsmanship and design elements.
Fabindia says the new sub-brand is designed for the “Global Traveller with an Indian Soul.”
Fabels’ inaugural collection includes men’s and women’s apparel across casual, business casual and occasion wear categories.
The women’s range features dresses, tops, contemporary shirts, camisoles, meditation pants, avenue pants and structured linen trousers, while the men’s collection includes straight- and slim-fit shirts, Cuban shirts, drawstring pants, layering jackets and twill shorts.
The collection also includes accessories such as silver jewellery, jute tote bags, leather sling bags, footwear and handcrafted silk stoles.
Several products incorporate traditional Indian textile techniques, including Ajrakh, indigo, Dabu printing and Dori hand embroidery.
