Engineered to perform taping and pre-ruffling operations for a perfect sleeve, Duerkopp Adler has recently launched 630-01 – a new optimized workstation for efficiently performing pre-ruffling operations with exact repetition on account of the latest step motor technology. The touchscreen control panel includes a software for automatic grading and hence neither expert knowledge nor manual input of grading values is required. The grading values are part of the machine intelligence and are applied automatically.

Finest fullness nuances are achieved with exact repetition even in difficult fabrics due to patented light stroke system, individually selectable differential top and bottom feed, and step motor control. Parameters like needle and bobbin thread tension, stitch length and speed can be programmed for a stitch pattern independent of the material. Besides this, the workstation is ergonomically designed for fatigue-free working with integrated LED sewing light and optimal view on the material to be processed. Duerkopp Adler claims that 50 per cent lesser training time is required on its new machine as it is equipped with internationally comprehensible symbols, and can be programed by ‘teach-in’ procedure. The 630-01 optimized workstation can also perform automatic mirroring for the second sleeve. Even the seam programming is touted by the company to be 80 per cent faster than the conventional method. Also, time-consuming mechanical adjustment has been replaced by service-friendly calibration. The machines can perform pre-ruffling of approximately 450-500 pairs of closed sleeves and approximately 550 pairs of open sleeves.

The 610-01, which can tape 420-450 pairs of armholes in men’s jacket front parts, comes with an improved tape clamp for safe tape feeding while providing a better view on the sewing area. The machine also lowers time and material costs since no later trimming of tape-ends is required.
