Danny Feltmann Espersen is new President & CEO of KappAhl
Apparel retailer KappAhl has appointed Danny Feltmann Espersen as the new President & CEO of KappAhl. Danny has extensive experience from senior positions in the fashion and retail industry, amongst others from H&M. He has worked over 17 years in several roles within H&M, including as a member of the group executive board with responsibility for logistics and the expansion of e-Commerce. He has also worked as member of the group executive board at Bang & Olufsen with responsibility for global sales and marketing.
Expressing happiness at taking on the new role, Danny Feltmann Espersen averred, “I am looking forward to coming back to the fashion industry as the leader of KappAhl. KappAhl is a very interesting company with a long and strong history, and therefore feels like the right company for me to contribute to the development and results. I find KappAhl’s strong commitment to sustainable fashion, especially exciting, since it is a subject of importance also for me.” Danny will assume his new position on 1st December 2015.
Founded in 1953, KappAhl is a leading fashion chain with close to 400 stores in Sweden, Norway, Finland and Poland. The company has approx. 4,000 employees in eight countries.
Sanjeev Mohanty is new ceo of Jabong
Sanjeev Mohanty who served as MD of Benetton India for 11 years is now with online fashion retailer Jabong as a CEO. With the overall experience of almost two decades and having a degree in apparel marketing and merchandising, fashion and retail marketing from NIFT, Sanjeev has experience of working at Levi’s India and Madura Fashion and Lifestyle. Sanjeev is known as an expert of merchandising and brand building and he did a commendable job in Benetton in terms of turnover as well as increased stores. Sales at Benetton India increased 64% to Rs. 596.49 crore for the year ended March 2014 from Rs. 363.48 crore in 2010, under his leadership. Industry experts feel that new job will be a massive task for Sanjeev, but AO is sure that he is more than up to it… We wish him all the best!
