
Led by its President Zahir Uddin Babar, a delegation of the Electronic Safety & Security Association of Bangladesh or ESSAB recently called on President of the apex garment makers’ body in Bangladesh.
The ESSAB delegation discussed a host of issues with BGMEA President Faruque Hassan at the trade body’s Dhaka-based office in which was also present BGMEA Vice President Shahidullah Azim, amongst others.
Expressing hope ESSAB would continue to play its role in cooperating with the garment industry in the area of workplace safety, Faruque Hassan, reportedly, said Bangladesh has emerged as the safest and most transparent apparel producing country globally while underlining this achievement came as a result of the firm determination, efforts and investment of entrepreneurs along with support of stakeholders.
The ESSAB delegation, as per a press note issued, discussed with the BGMEA leaders, different issues of the country’s apparel industry, especially the efforts and achievements in workplace safety over the past few years.
