Organizer Messe Frankfurt and several other participants will be focusing on the sustainability aspects of the business as German Hotel Association will report on trends and developments as they relate to sustainability in the hotel industry.
The Indian participants too aren’t far behind in this area. Amber Home, Mumbai, which has been taking part in this event for the past 16 continuous years, is one of them. Nimish Shah, Director of the company told Apparel Resources, “This year our approach will be more towards sustainability as our theme is ‘Save Our planet by Making Home Textile from Recycled Yarns’. We have used recycle yarn blend of PC where 80 per cent is cotton and 20 per cent is polyester. We have also reduced some dying process for the sake of environment and hope that buyers will like our efforts.” The company will display majorly table and kitchen linen, as well as beach and bath towel.
Nimish Shah is also excited about the business opportunities in the fair as he is getting positive vibes from his buyers. “Our focus is on Europe, Middle East, US and CIS countries. I am sure that 2016 is going to be better compared to 2015, as there has been no negative news on the Greece front, and there has been little improvement in the economies. Secondly, at the home front we are expecting good results in 2016, regarding whatever positive steps has been taken by the Government of India,” he said.
