Lululemon, the renowned sportswear brand, has announced its foray into the footwear world.
The Vancouver-based apparel label will be releasing four women’s footwear styles in 2022, with a men’s footwear collection in the plans for 2023.
Notably, the brand’s maiden launch, namely Blissfeel (a running shoe), will be available from April 2022 in selected stores across the UK, North America and Mainland China.
Available in as many as 10 colourways, Blissfeel items’ prices start at £138.
Following Blissfeel, three more styles will be unveiled later in 2022: Chargefeel, Restfeel and Strongfeel.
While Chargefeel is a cross-training shoe that’s made for gym training and short runs, Restfeel is a post-workout shoe. Strongfeel, which is a training shoe for multi-directional movement, will be released in the autumn.
Pleased over the launch, Calvin McDonald, CEO, Lululemon, said “We are entering the footwear category the same way we built our apparel business –with products designed to solve unmet needs, made for women first.”
Lululemon was founded in 1998 as a retailer of yoga pants and other yoga wear, and it soon expanded to also sell athleticwear, lifestyle apparel and fashion accessories.
