Nigel Jones has been named chief operational officer of Primark, the retailer has stated in a news release.
Prior to this, Jones earned expertise in technology, supply chain management, and global operations while employed by retail giant Tesco and hospitality business Whitbread. He will oversee logistics, supply chain, technology, and “business transformation” at Primark in his capacity as COO, the article states.
“It is incredibly exciting for me to be joining such a recognised global retailer,” Jones said in the statement. “I have always been impressed by Primark’s continued growth and the impact it has as an industry leader. I look forward to leading a dynamic team and helping the business achieve its future growth ambitions.”
