John Lewis appoints Interim Executive Director for Finance

With effect from 1st July 2024, Andy Mounsey has been appointed as the John Lewis Partnership’s Interim Executive Director for Finance.

Having held several top finance positions at John Lewis over a period of 12 years, Mounsey is currently the Group Finance & Strategy Director.

The current Executive Director for Finance, Bérangère (Bey) Michel, stated in April that she will be departing the partnership after 16 years, and his new role will “facilitate a smooth handover” from her.

Nish Kankiwala, John Lewis Partnership’s Chief Executive Officer, said, “Andy is a highly experienced and valued member of our finance team, with a deep understanding of the partnership and the retail sector.”

Mounsey added, “I’m incredibly privileged to be taking on this role. The partnership‘s finances are in a healthy position – enabling us to invest significantly across the business for our customers.”

The process to recruit a permanent Executive Director for Finance at the John Lewis Partnership is now underway.
