Singaporean arm of Fraser Property Retail is all set to launch an e-commerce marketplace named Fraser eStore that will allow shoppers to browse and purchase products from any of its tenants across its 14 mall spaces.
The app will endeavour to provide ‘store-to-door’ experiences to its tenants and customers as the Singaporean e-commerce market is expected to hit US $ 9.5 billion in 2020.
Launching with over 200 merchants, the marketplace will be up and running by the end of October and expects a potential membership of more than 800,000 shoppers integrated by two loyalty programmes: Frasers Experience (FRx) and AMperkz.
The step to launch the eStore was taken keeping in mind the rising pace of e-shopping and the need for all formats, including malls, to try and pivot businesses online.
The app will help shoppers place consolidated orders from multiple stores at a mall, which will then be delivered to them in a single package.
The purchases will also garner Fraser points to be used for paying parking fees, digital gift cards, e-vouchers and to unlock exclusive deals on brands.
“The launch of Frasers eStore marks the natural next step in our digital transformation journey with our tenants to further support them as they embrace digital solutions to find additional avenues to market their products, while adapting to changing consumer behaviours,” said Tan Kee Yong, Chief Operating Officer of Frasers Property Retail.
Yong also went on to add that app is a step up from the FRx programme launched in 2018, and that he expects the omnichannel retailing efforts to offer convenience and value-added services to customers, making their shopping experience a seamless one.
