
Dollar General Corporation, an American chain of variety stores headquartered in Tennessee, has proclaimed to create 10,000 jobs in the year 2017 as a result of 1,000 planned new store openings and two new state-of-the-art distribution centres. This job creation will lead the company towards 9 per cent increase in overall workforce.

Dollar General operates over 12,400 stores in all US states except Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Washington and Wyoming. The retailer offers both name brand and generic merchandise including off-brand goods and closeouts of name-brand items in the same store.
