ASCENA Retail Group, a leading national specialty retailer, has roped in Linda Yaccarino as an independent Director of the company with immediate effect. Commenting on the appointment, Elliot S. Jaffe, Co-Founder and Non-Executive Chairman of the Board said, “We are delighted to have Linda join our Board. She brings a wealth of experience that we believe will add great value to our Board.”
Yaccarino currently serves as Chairwoman, Advertising, Sales and Client Partnerships at NBCUniversal Inc. She was recognized as “Women in Entertainment: Power 100” by The Hollywood Reporter for the third year in a row in 2015. Prior to that, she was also recognized by Variety’s “Power of Women of New York” in 2014 and as a “CEO of Tomorrow” by BusinessWeek. However, it will be interesting to see what new she will bring to ASCENA.
