Aditya Birla Lifestyle Brands Ltd. (ABLBL) reported a strong performance for the quarter ended June 30, with standalone net profit rising to Rs 31.2 crore (US $3.26 million) on the back of standalone revenue from operations of Rs 2,048.86 crore (US $214.36 million).
On a standalone basis, net profit increased 45.79% year-on-year to Rs 31.2 crore (US $3.26 million) in Q1 FY27 from Rs 21.4 crore (US $2.24 million) in the corresponding quarter last year. Meanwhile, revenue from operations rose 11.32% to Rs 2,048.86 crore (US $214.36 million) compared to Rs 1,840.58 crore (US $192.57 million) in Q1 FY26.
On a consolidated basis, net profit grew 20.62% year-on-year to Rs 29.02 crore (US $3.04 million) from Rs 24.06 crore (US $2.52 million), while revenue from operations increased 11.15% to Rs 2,045.74 crore (US $214.03 million) from Rs 1,840.58 crore (US $192.57 million) in the year-ago quarter.
Further, consolidated EBITDA rose 14% year-on-year to Rs 327 crore (US $34.21 million), with the operating EBITDA margin improving to 16.0%.
Looking ahead, the company plans to open more than 300 gross stores during FY27, with a sharp focus on Tier-3 and Tier-4 cities. It expects smaller towns to contribute nearly 20% of total revenue over the next few years, up from around 15% currently, aided by smaller-format stores and market-specific product assortments.
ABLBL also said it will continue to strengthen its premium portfolio through improved fabrics and designs to support long-term growth. At the same time, it expects cost pressures from higher logistics expenses and rising minimum wages, which it plans to offset through calibrated price hikes and lower promotional intensity in its e-commerce business.
The company added that emerging businesses, including Reebok, American Eagle and its innerwear segment, are expected to improve profitability as they scale up, complementing the growth of its established brands such as Louis Philippe, Van Heusen, Peter England and Allen Solly.
