Globally reckoned in automated CAD/CAM and PLM solutions for the apparel, textile and flexible materials industry, Gerber Technology has ruled the market with technological innovation and customer commitment ever since its inception in 1967. With 25,000 customers in 130 countries and more than 400 patents to its name, Gerber offers automated solutions to a plethora of industries including textiles. During the China International Sewing Machinery & Accessories (CISMA) show, Gerber Technology will demonstrate breakthrough software and manufacturing solutions that embody decades of best practices from thousands of users, to give low maintenance high quality solutions.
The company will demonstrate its latest computer-controlled material cutting and spreading systems, AccuMark pattern design, grading and marking software, AccuScan pattern digitizing software, 3D pattern draping software, AccuNest automated marker making software and CutWorks cutting optimization software. The latest version of AccuMark supports the Gerber’s new AccuScan camera digitizer, a portable pattern input solution. Users simply affix their pattern pieces to a mat imprinted with specialized targets and photograph them using a high-quality, digital camera. The targets enable the AccuScan software to interpret the scale and perspective of the pattern images and accurately convert the images to digital piece data for use in the AccuMark system.
Visitors to CISMA will also have the opportunity to witness the newest release of the company’s YuniquePLM product lifecycle management system. It offers enhanced integration with Adobe Illustrator, dynamic line creation capabilities, sourcing and compliance tracking, as well as powerful “what if” scenarios that enable teams to determine if a product will meet profitability expectations before designers even sketch a concept or generate a single piece of artwork. In addition to typical PLM components including Line Planning, Collection Management, Tech Pack Configurations and Calendaring and Task Management, YuniquePLM provides Digital Library Management as well as Sourcing RFQ, Costing and Supplier Relationship Management capabilities.
“At CISMA this year, visitors will see several ground-breaking solutions to help them optimize their workflow from the design to the cutting room, maximizing productivity while ensuring quality. We have incorporated advanced technologies that maximize system uptime and ensure parts are cut precisely the first time – every time,” avers Steve Park, Vice President and General Manager of Gerber’s Sewn Goods business. Talking about the dominance of Gerber in the global apparel and textile industry, Mike Elia, President and CEO of Gerber further added, “We’ve sold more than 10,000 cutters and more than 44,000 AccuMark licenses over the years. But our aim is not limited to selling cutters and softwares. Our service experts genuinely care about their customers.” Gerber employs more than 300 certified service and support experts who serve 25,000 customers in 130 countries, maximizing the return customers get from their investments in automation solutions, and that doesn’t even include the service professionals employed by nearly 70 agents and distributors of Gerber around the world.
