Tukatech, leading technology provider based in USA, has unveiled its latest product development option TUKA3D SMARTqueue that increases 3D sample-making productivity by creating a mini render farm for tasks including garment draping, image and video rendering, and object exporting.
3-D sample maker creates a virtual sample from a CAD pattern by stitching, draping as well as simulating motion before applying colourways and rendering images and videos for design and fit analysis. With the help of this innovative new development, the operator can save settings at each step and send them to the TUKA3D SMARTqueue to process for every graded size.
Savannah Crawford, Chief Collaborator, Tukatech mentioned, “The challenges we discussed with our customers were related to the increasing demand for 3D garments throughout the development process. Technicians want to see virtual size sets, designers want to see full collections, and online retailers want to use 3D renders for e-commerce.”
The TUKA3D SMARTqueue uses centralized computer networking in order to allocate the tasks to the computers that are available in the network for the processing. Upon completion, the work is saved on the server, ready to view, upload and share digitally via TUKAcloud
It is worth noting here that TUKA3D SMARTqueue reduces the need for human intervention in the virtual development process and frees up computing power for 3D sample makers to start the work on next style.
Photo-realistic imagery is vital to successfully use the 3D virtual development all the way through to e-commerce. But, the high-quality renders for the images takes a lot of time to process. So as to overcome these challenges, Tukatech took inspiration from the film industry practices.
Iva Sareen, President, Tukatech said, “The film industry has been using render farms for CGI output for years. Now, 3D sample-makers will have their own on-site ‘mini render farms’ in order to maximise productivity while achieving beautiful 3D garments.”
One of the TUKA3D renowned users, Arshad Sattar, Managing Director, Timex commented, “The TUKA3D SMARTqueue allows us to utilize our stations 24/7 including weekends, giving us a lot more productivity. When the operators come back in the morning, the simulated garments and rendered images are ready for review.”
Tukatech was established in 1995, it combines the artistry of traditional fashion production with the efficiency of modern manufacturing. Moreover, it makes the design and development processes simpler and creates fashion technology that companies of every size can use so as to bring the right product to the consumer at the right time.
