
Intex South Asia, a trade show and business intelligence conference, is expected to attract many apparel and textile entrepreneurs and manufacturers from around world as it hosts its 4th edition in Colombo next month. Being the largest sourcing show in South Asia, it helps international exhibitors and trade visitors to connect and network with global textile and apparel industry people.
Intex South Asia debuted in 2015 and has grown significantly over the last three editions. It has shown a 46 per cent rise in number of exhibitors and a 67 per cent growth in international buyers with 200 exhibitors from 15 countries and over 3,000 buyers from 21 countries joining in 2017.
According to one of the organizers, “Three years of successful editions of Intex South Asia exhibition has created a positive buzz in the industry as a whole, from sourcing and design teams to manufacturers and importers. With a growing industry renewing global interest for quality and ethical products, increased international buyer traffic and order writing has set the stage for a successful fourth edition of Intex South Asia on a larger scale than before.”
This year buyers will witness country wise pavilions including India Pavilion organized by Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO), the Taiwan Pavilion organized by Taiwan Textile Federation (TTF) and the Bangladesh Pavilion organized by Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) of Bangladesh. These distinct pavilions will be showcasing innovative, functional and eco-friendly textiles for sports and athleisure industries.
It is worth noting that over 250 textile companies from 15 countries and regions are participating in the event. Countries including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, China, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Switzerland, Turkey and Australia, will be present at Intex South Asia 2018. They will showcase their cutting edge textile developments and also connect with existing and potential buyers from South Asia and other international markets at the event.
