Coats Digital has announced that Pilot Knit Garment, a leading Thai sportswear manufacturer and part of the Yong Udom Textile Group, has adopted its FastReactPlan solution.
FastReactPlan aims to replace manual processes by digitally connecting planning and forecasting data across departments, helping organizations enhance efficiency, optimize On-Time Delivery Performance (OTDP), and significantly shorten lead times.
Ampon Ruayfupan, Managing Director of Pilot Knit Garment, noted that despite having access to top-tier knit and dye mills that provide high-quality fabrics, the company still struggled to align its fabric planning effectively. Previously, the company used Excel spreadsheets to manage capacity and production plans, but manual updates led to poor visibility into capacity, frequent miscalculations of fabric needs, and an inability to plan orders beyond a month. As a result, the planning and production teams often had to scramble to meet deadlines, leading to inconsistent capacity utilization.
“Without a clear, real-time view of our production line capacity, it took us more than two days to create a workable production plan. Handling last-minute style changes was also highly complex and time-consuming,” Ampon explained.
Part of Coats Digital’s Manufacturing Solution Suite, FastReactPlan is a dynamic, visual planning and control tool designed for apparel and footwear manufacturers. It integrates capacity, materials, and production timelines into a unified planning system, enhancing delivery performance and operational efficiency.
Ampon emphasized that production planning plays a critical role in Pilot Knit’s operations. To boost efficiency, balance workloads, and improve visibility into production lines, the company needed a robust planning tool. “With FastReactPlan’s quick integration capabilities and real-time updates, we are confident it will help us avoid shipment delays, reduce fabric waste, and improve production efficiency through better load balancing,” he added.
Haruethai Phaleesem, Digital Sales Manager at Coats Digital, expressed excitement about the collaboration. “We are thrilled to welcome Pilot Knit into our growing network of digitized manufacturing partners. Our teams worked closely to integrate FastReactPlan seamlessly with their Tega ERP system,” Haruethai stated.
