Coats Digital has announced that since implementing Coats Digital’s FastReactPlan solution in 2019, Nan Yan Textile Group, a leading vertically connected garment specialist, has drastically decreased its preparation times from three days to one and enhanced its OTDP (On-Time Delivery Performance) by 10 per cent. The technology has allowed the organisation to combine and aggregate information from several sources into a highly visible, unified system. Management and staff benefit from a unified, clear picture of the production plan, which unlocks more capacity to generate new company development and provides the agility to respond quickly to client modification requests.
Nan Yang Textile Group, headquartered in Bangkok, offers a wide variety of textile solutions, including spinning, knitting, and clothing manufacturing. The firm employs more than 12,000 people, and its customers include Tommy Bahama, Lululemon, Spyder Omin and Puma, among many others.
Prior to carrying out FastReactPlan, Nan Yang Textile Group discovered that relying on data for developing capacity plans led to substantial gaps between anticipated and actual production outputs, causing severe discrepancies in plans from the early stages to the sewing lines. Because it was such an exhausting process to assess problems and obtain the key information needed to fix them, there was frequently not only a delay in manufacturing activities, but also an inability to fulfill export dates.
Nan Yang Textile Group with the deployment of FastReactPlan swiftly eliminated its dependency on several data, allowing planning and scheduling teams to access business important planning information from a single, digitised source. The improved data visibility promotes seamless communication across teams, allowing them to manage multiple orders and modification requests quickly. FastReactPlan’s automatic notifications and data alerts enable teams to take action on problems and possibilities, such as predicting and planning for minute-by-minute production changes required on the production line, which significantly improves forecasting efficiencies while reducing the need for firefighting.
Nan Yang Textile Group has reduced its time-consuming planning process from three days to one, allowing planners to devote 66 per cent more time to improving customer service and boosting business growth. Increased efficiency throughout the organisation have also led to a stunning 10 per cent improvement in OTDP, saving major overhead expenditures in overtime and wasteful, expedited freight charges.
Kanjana Meim, Production Planning Control Department Manager of Nan Yang Textile Group, stated, “FastReactPlan has been a game changer for our production planning team, allowing us to forecast our plans in a visually appealing manner.”
Pakawan Veerarote, Customer Success Manager at Coats Digital, stated, “Nan Yang Textile Group is known internationally as the ASEAN leader in creative textile and garment solutions, and we are delighted that it has greatly enhanced its production efficiencies since using FastReactPlan.”
