
The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) has recently released the tentative schedule for New York Fashion Week (NYFW) Fall/Winter 2024.
The event would take place from 9th-14th February, and is set to feature a mix of over 70 designers, spanning physical runway shows, digital presentations, and by-appointment showcases.
Kicking off the NYFW schedule on 9th February is Peter Do, who will present his second collection for Helmut Lang. Meanwhile, CFDA chairman Thom Browne will bring the week to a close with his show on 14th February, promising a grand finale.
Other notable returning designers to the schedule include Carolina Herrera, Coach, Collina Strada, Eckhaus Latta, Elena Velez, Khaite, LaQuan Smith, Michael Kors, Jason Wu, Jonathan Cohen, and Proenza Schouler, among others.
The highlight of the event would be the greatly anticipated return of Gabriela Hearst, presenting her first collection since departing from Chloé in September 2023, while Monse, Lafayette 148, Delpozo and Libertine are also making their comeback to the NYFW schedule.
Likewise, inaugural appearances of promising talents, include Bishme Cromartie, Callas, Colleen Allen, Jane Wade, and Meruert Tolegen. Emerging designers Diotima and Zankov, who were runners-up in the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, along with finalists Kim Shui and Tanner Fletcher, will also showcase their collections. Winner Melitta Baumeister will debut digitally.
On 11th February, Ludovic de Saint Sernin will make his highly anticipated global debut by presenting his very first runway show outside of Paris in New York City under his own brand.
