German digital knitwear technology firm KM.ON, a part of the Karl Mayer Group, is set to unveil its new Create Design software, representing a significant stride in reshaping knitwear design and development. This technology will be presented at two events—Munich Fabric Start in Germany and Pitti Filati in Italy.
The Create Design software, tailored for Karl Mayer’s successful Stoll and KM.ON brands, facilitates end-to-end digitisation of the entire flat knitted fabrics design and development process. It covers cut creation, grading, digital knitwear design, yarn creations, technical checks, conversion into various jacquard types, and data exports.
For virtual patterning, the software allows exporting cut shapes and digital textures to external 3D garment programs. KM.ON’s team member, Jessy-Belle Kürig, will be showcasing the capabilities of Create Design at Munich Fabric Start from 23rd to 25th January 2024.
Simultaneously, at Pitti Filati in Florence, a gathering of yarn manufacturers, KM.ON collaborates with industry leaders Stoll By Karl Mayer and Prisma Tech (a partner of CLO Virtual Fashion) to present their textile solutions. Ülfet Doganay, the cluster lead for design & patterning, will represent KM.ON at Pitti Filati. Doganay notes, “Create Design is not just software; it’s a new era in textile design, and I can’t wait to share our vision with the industry.”
