Globally reckoned in automated CAD/CAM and PLM solutions for the apparel and flexible materials industry, Gerber Technology has introduced VStitcher, version 4.3 solution for virtual 3D design and simulation. Offering an expansive set of Avatars with modifiable body parts, postures and poses with various measurements available in the industry, the new version is more advanced with true-to-life simulation features such as the ability to represent fabric thickness and edge definition. With the powerful technology of its draping software VStitcher provides accurate draping simulation in the market.
In addition, it easily integrates with Gerber’s AccuMark pattern design, grading and marker making software, enabling a fast and easy transformation of 2D patterns into 3D garments. “The fast-fashion concept drives our customers to produce more styles in smaller batches, within a shorter period of time. By decreasing the number of physical sample needed, VStitcher provides a cost- effective solution, eliminating longer development time, minimizing fabric and transportation costs and margin for error typically seen with sample orders,” stated Angela Cruz, Product Manager, AccuMark family products.
The additional key features and added functionality of VStitcher are improved communication, on-line fit approval sessions, Fabric Testing Kit (FTK) and new fabrics test on-site. Also, values can be imported directly from a mill’s inventory and the results are automatically converted into usable data for 3D draping. Currently, the previous versions are being used by more than 150 companies in 25 different countries.
