Far East Knitting & Dyeing Industries Ltd. (FEKDIL) has adopted Fast React’s Evolve solution, the visual capacity planning and management tool.
Fast React the global provider of supply chain solutions specifically for the fashion industry, by deploying Evolve at Far East Knitting, has helped the company gain increased visibility and control throughout the planning process, improve production line capabilities and WIP control. This has also enabled the company to have short lead times whilst increasing their clientele base and avoid incurring extra and unsustainable costs to airship or short ship garments.
“We wanted to maintain transparency on production plan, strategies and results. Fast React’s Evolve can be called the best choice since it is tried and tested in Bangladesh,” says Zayed Moyeen, Director, Far East Knitting. “Modernizing the company to increase efficiency and returns in order to become lean and competitive in global market space is a priority,” he adds.
“We chose Fast React as it is tried and tested software in the market and promises a stable, robust platform for production planning and management reporting.” – Asif Moyeen, Managing Director, FEKDIL
Propelled by the Fast React’s Evolve, the company is swiftly taking an agile stance. “Fast React’s Evolve system has helped us become more organized. This whole process helps people in all departments to know what has to be done in coming weeks and have more time to act upon it. Communication between departments and sections has been dramatically increased. We are also able to monitor our discrepancies and efficiencies. This has helped us develop our internal SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). One considerable end result of this is that we have been able to significantly reduce shipment losses and over the past four months, it has decreased from 5.46% to 3.40%. This means we ship 2% more garments than before,” shares Sakhwat Hossain, Planning and IE Head, Far East Knitting.
Commending the software, Zayed concludes, “Having completed the Evolve implementation, we have definitely fortified our standards and production strategy and hope to move forward in a more lean and efficient manner.”
