Merchandise availability solutions provider for the retail industry, Checkpoint Systems Inc. has developed an application for real-time electronic article surveillance (EAS) and organized retail crime (ORC) event management, called EVOLVE-Store. The application provides real-time visibility of the number of shoppers in the store, thus helping the retailers in measuring and improving consumer conversion rates.
By managing an EAS program, retailers can control shoplifting and ORC activity, which will help in improving the shelf availability, thus increasing the sales and profits. Other features included are, EAS night-save (to save power when the store is closed), ability to test, mute or disable EAS systems remotely, and also a staff panic alert.
