The dominant trend in Fall and Winter fashion is gothic glamour. Designers are embracing everything gloomy, melancholy and mysterious this season, from Versace to Gucci to Givenchy.
In Brooklyn, a magnificent dinner was transformed into a gothic-glamour platform for Rodarte’s first big show of New York Fashion Week, which made its premiere on Friday.
The show, which was held within the double-domed Williamsburg Bank building, a perfect setting for it, began with more than twelve opulent, seductive looks in all black.
After the epidemic, Rodarte returned to the New York fashion season with this Fall/Winter 2023 collection. Sister design team Kate and Laura Mulleavy undoubtedly enlightened the American fashion class about why they have become such a cult brand.
The Mulleavys exhibited a masterful understanding of cinematic scale by dressing their gothic reverend mothers in feel coal black wool jackets with enormous lapels and Jesuit sleeves. Black lipstick, white eye cosmetics and silver eyeliner were used by the entire group.
