Extending its strategic alliance with MP Expositions, the organisers of ITMA 2015, the International Association for the Nonwovens and Related Industries (EDANA) has signed a MoU to conduct a conference on nonwoven during ITMA 2015 to be held in Milan along with helping in building bridges between the nonwoven industry and customer expectations. “We share a common objective of helping the textile and, in our case nonwoven industries reach out to a wider audience through greater innovations and education,” said Pierre Wiertz, General Manager, EDANA, stressing the significance of the collaboration.
ITMA has grown to be one of the world’s largest textiles and garment technology exhibition, which showcases the entire value chain. In 2011, the fair introduced the fibre and yarn sector, after which there has been a growing emphasis on solutions for nonwovens and technical textiles. With the signing of the MoU, visitors will be able to witness live the interaction of materials and chemicals with the machines, through on-the-spot demonstrations.
Lauding the collaboration, Charles Beauduin, President, CEMATEX (The European Committee of Textile Machinery Manufacturers), which owns ITMA said, “The CEMATEX national association members who produce machinery and related solutions for the nonwovens sector are looking forward to this joint initiative which will provide the platform to display technologies.
The event is being managed by MP Expositions, a professional exhibition and conference organiser which has organized and managed over 300 major national, regional and international events, including the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 2009 Leaders’ Week and ITMA.
