Organised by The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India (CMAI), 71st National Garment Fair (virtual) started today. The event, India’s first virtual show for domestic garment industry, will be continued up to 20 September.
Minister for Textiles Smriti Irani inaugurated the event along with Ravi Capoor, Secretary (Textiles) and Siddharth Bindra, Chairman, CMAI Northern Region.
The Minister appreciated CMAI’s role in the development of the domestic sector and complimented CMAI for adapting to change the physical fair to a virtual one by using technology.
Rahul Mehta, Chief Mentor, CMAI, thanked them for their continued support to the domestic sector and CMAI in particular. The event has over 250 participants, and around 20,000 retailers are expected to visit.
This fair is being brought to you in partnership with UDAAN, India’s leading B2B e-commerce platform having the largest distribution network for retailers, wholesalers, brands and manufacturers across multiple categories.
Confirmed sources told Apparel Resources that the show has few last-minute glitches.
