The world economy has been badly hit owing to the havoc created by pandemic in 2020. Yet, textile machinery makers remain optimistic about the textile industry in Asia – quite evident from the way they have snapped up space in the much-awaited ITMA Asia + CITME show to be held next year.
The show, to be held at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre (NECC), Shanghai from 12 to 16 June 2021, is eagerly awaited by the industry.
In fact, the show owners CEMATEX and Chinese partners the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT (CCPIT-Tex), China Textile Machinery Association (CTMA) and China Exhibition Centre Group Corporation (CIEC) have received applications from over 1,600 leading textile machinery manufacturers.
Interestingly, while the deadline has passed, applications for space are still streaming in for the grand combined show.
The successful applicants will get their admission certificates and booth details in December this year.
The applicants, along with industry partners and associations, have already given an indication of how successful the ITMA Asia + CITME event is going to be in June 2021.
Notably, the event will be organised by Beijing Textile Machinery International Exhibition Co. Ltd. and co-organised by ITMA Services.
Expressing delight over seeing so many companies booking with confidence, Ernesto Maurer, President, CEMATEX, said “The Asian region continues to be a bright spot for businesses which are seeking new markets and growth opportunities in challenging times.”
Conforming on the same, Wang Shutian, Honorary President, CTMA, said “The positive economic growth is extremely good news for the industry. The pandemic has forced the industry to face unprecedented challenges. While a full recovery will take time, businesses around the world are already looking ahead to actively seek ways to prompt a market rebound.”
Wang added “ITMA ASIA + CITME is a recognised brand and we are delighted that the industry continues to support our showcase. This is really a positive sign that industry players are cautiously optimistic about the future.”
Dr. Gunnar Hemmer, Sales and Marketing Director, Dilo Systems Gmbh, shared “Next year’s combined show will be extremely important for all manufacturers as business has been badly affected by the pandemic. It will offer an excellent platform to help us reconnect with Asian buyers as the global economy is expected to improve. With an established track record, ITMA ASIA + CITME is in a strong position to support the overall recovery of the textile industry.”
Dilo Systems Gmbh, a leading company in the field of complete staple fibre non-woven production lines, has been a regular ITMA ASIA + CITME participant.
As a part of an effort to unify the branding of its ITMA exhibition portfolio, CEMATEX recently refreshed the design of its ITMA ASIA logo. The new image will be featured in the combined exhibition logo.
