The upcoming edition of FESPA Asia 2019 will be hosted in the capital of Thailand (Bangkok) from 21 to 23 February 2019 at the BITEC exhibition centre. The three-day long event will be called as Asia Print Expo to portray the significance of the event to the audience. Roz Guarnori, Exhibitions Director, FESPA, said that the decision to change the name was taken to portray the significance of the event to the people, especially to those who have no prior knowledge about the event.
In a press statement issued, Roz Guarnori was quoted as saying “In Europe and Latin America, our events have registered themselves as market-leading events for specialty print and people know what to expect from the FESPA name. However, in the Asian region, FESPA is not that popular, so we thought it will be hard for the visitors to understand straight away what the name ‘FESPA’ represents. The Asia Print Expo brand, supported by the tag ‘The World of Print and Beyond’ making the proposition crystal-clear for exhibitors and visitors.”
The event will offer a no-cost educational and interactive show for those who are in search for business expansion or are looking to enhance their knowledge in the print sector. The event will also feature the FESPA Wrap Masters, Print Make Wear Asia and a conference programme. Notably many leading names in the digital printing sector will offer their expertise to the visitors along with the access to the latest technologies and products in the market. The list of exhibitors who will be taking part in the event include names like; Hexis, Siser, Stahls Asia and Poli-Tape Klebefolien GmbH, and a few local companies such as SVOA-Roland, SKT. Embroidery Co., Ltd., Jinmao, Shanghai Vision Digital Printing, Shanghai Screen Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Fei Yue Digital Technology Co., Ltd. and Haining Tianfu Warp Knitting Co., Ltd.
Notably, the previous year’s event fetched over 4,300 visitors representing 66 countries covering the ASEAN part and further, with the majority of the visitors representing Thailand accounting for 75 per cent of the audience. FESPA’s Exhibition Director concluded by citing that they are expecting a better turnaround this time, building on last year’s numbers.
