In a significant pre-election gathering, the Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association (BGBA) and Forum, a prominent panel within the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA), convened on Tuesday for a consultative meeting aimed at fostering cooperation and strategic alignment ahead of the BGMEA Elections 2025–2027.
The meeting, attended by leaders and members from both organisations, centered on addressing the challenges and exploring opportunities within Bangladesh’s readymade garment (RMG) sector. Participants discussed key policy issues, sectoral development priorities, and the importance of ensuring strong representation for buying houses in the upcoming elections to promote inclusive and sustainable growth in the industry.
During the discussions, emphasis was placed on the vital role of buying houses in the global supply chain and the need for unified leadership within BGMEA to support the industry’s continued success. The BGBA President expressed optimism about future collaborations and highlighted the importance of industry unity, while Forum leaders acknowledged the valuable contributions of buying houses and reaffirmed their commitment to collective progress.
This meeting marks a positive step toward strengthening ties between buying houses and manufacturers, setting a collaborative tone for the upcoming BGMEA elections and the industry’s future development.
