Leading global manufacturer of outdoor/athletic clothing, textiles, footwear and gear, Youngone Corporation is planning to invest up to US $ 500 million at the Korean Export Processing Zone (KEPZ) in the textiles and information technology (IT) sectors in the next few years.
Media reports maintained this citing the Chairman of the company Kihak Sung.
It may be mentioned here, the KEPZ owned by the Youngone Corporation, currently hosts 40 state-of-the-art green factories even if it plans another 35 factories, while in its textile zone, three out of five planned factories have, reportedly, been completed and, once all five are completed, KEPZ, reportedly, expects this to function as Bangladesh’s textiles hub to produce and supply high-quality MMF (man-made fibre).
Located in Anwara, in the port city of Chittagong, KEPZ is the biggest private EPZ in Bangladesh.
