The Kyrgyz textile and garment industry has lost its charm in the recent times due to the shortage of raw materials. To uplift the sector, the industry marked several important events last month which included Osh-2014 Light Industry trade fair that took place from October 23-27, 2014 to increase the manufacturing capacity, exchange experience and exhibit the accomplishments of country’s textile and garment industries. According to Saparbek Asanov, President of the Legprom (Light Industry), the association is aiding the Southern firms to make better apparels by offering various forms of training. As a result, the investment climate in South is improving.
