
Leading global sports brand PUMA is keen to increase its apparel sourcing from Bangladesh especially the value-added and sustainable items.
As per a statement issued in this regard, during a recent meeting with BGMEA President Faruque Hassan, Chief Sourcing Officer of PUMA Anne-Laure Descours underlined the same.
During the discussion, in which was, reportedly, present Branch Manager at PUMA Bangladesh Moyeen Hyder Chowdhury and BGMEA Director Asif Ashraf, the BGMEA President highlighted the potential of Bangladesh as a sourcing country for value-added sportswear, outerwear, swimwear, activewear and workwear even as he apprised Anne-Laure Descours about the RMG industry’s increased focus on diversification of products, especially non-cotton and high-end apparels.
