Till recently, working through agents, Japanese industrial sewing machine major Juki has finally entered the Bangladesh market with its own office. The opening ceremony for Juki Machinery Bangladesh Ltd. was held at the Westin, Dhaka on 11th July 2012. Chief Guest of the ceremony, Shiro Sadoshima, Ambassador of Japan in Bangladesh seemed delighted with their new venture that would strengthen their base in the eastern hemisphere.
The event was also graced by the presence of Akira Kiyohara, President, Juki Corporation; Sinji Yamaguchi, Managing Director, Juki Corporation; Kumagai Tashiko, Director, Juki Machinery Bangladesh; and Norihiko Ishizuka, President, Juki Corporation. Other than the esteemed guests, there were about 300 participants who took part in the programme, amongst which 200 were big garment factory owners of the region.
The main purpose of the new office established by the Juki Machinery Bangladesh Ltd. is to improve the sale of the industrial sewing machines in the country by providing local warehouse stock together with quality machine and services within the border. The company would now be able to serve its customers in Bangladesh better and faster.
