Expanding its European reach further, the company has recently launched PFAFF 3590 portal for these markets with a larger sewing area measuring1200 X 700 mm. Many seams in vehicles are even sewed or welded by ‘Pfaff Industrial’.
The new Pfaff portal combines sewing process reliability and seam quality in a unique manner and has the latest engineering, drive and control technology. The sophisticated sewing technology based on our marathon vertical hook and a unique seam optimizing system provides the highest seam and stitch quality in multi-directional sewing over the whole sewing area. All complex top-stitch and decorative stitching operations in automotive interiors, cars seats, airbags, leather goods and aircraft interior can be mastered with the new PFAFF 3590 portal.
It enables complex top-stitching and ornamental seam work to be performed in one and two needle operations, defining premium quality for car manufacturers.

The two features of the innovation which actually guarantee the perfect stitch are the Programmable intermittent jumping foot and Secure seam start. The jumping pressure foot enables the machine to adjust according to the varying height of the material, by driving the pressure foot with a separate stepping motor. All the specifications of the material to be sewn are fed via the operator control panel, and the time of set-down and lift-up of the foot is programmable and ensures reliable thread trimming and seam start. A controlled thread nipper for needle and bobbin thread, as a part of the secure seam start ensures reliable seam start within the initial two stitches. The bobbin thread is held securely during the first stitch and the opening of the bobbin thread nipper can be set by stitch count.
After the successful launch of the portal in Europe, the company is in close contact with customers in Asia and the Americas. The first machine is currently being installed at the production facility of a renowned manufacturer overseas.
