
An investment of US $ 76.41 million will be made by Mingda (Bangladesh) New Material Co. Ltd., a Chinese entity in Bepza Economic Zone in Bangladesh with the aim to produce various types of cotton products.
This was underlined in recent media reports, which added the list of products to be produced by the company concerned include artificial fabrics, including geotextile, different hospital products imitation, silk cotton, tile cotton, needle punched cotton, different types of artificial/manmade fabric, bags and packaging items, including geo-bag and non-woven bag.
This is reportedly the highest investment proposal that has come from any company that has signed agreements to establish factories inside the Bepza EZ.
Reports further underlined director of Mingda (Bangladesh) New Material Co. Ltd., Huang Shangwen and member for investment promotion at Bepza, Ali Reza Mazid, signed an agreement in this regard in Dhaka recently.
