It seems to be ‘moving on times’ as many old hands have decided to part ways with their companies in the last few months. With Fat Face as Country Head since they established office in India, Jasjeet Bhatia, recently resigned and is currently on a sabbatical. Jasjeet was earlier Country Head of Monsoon, prior to joining Fat Face and is a well respected name in the industry. Though, it is not clear who will takeover at Fat Face, indications are that an expatriate may be joining soon.
Similarly, Bindu Sood heading Charming Shoppes’ India liaison office has resigned and industry sources indicate that she might takeover as next Country Head for Esprit, though it is too early to say. Bindu has worked with many Buying offices and also has the experience of sourcing for domestic retail working with Reliance Retail, some years back.
