
Baliram Hiray Hi-tech Textile Cluster Services Pvt Ltd cluster project at Malegaon will start operations on a trial basis from August 26. It has been set up under the scheme of the Union ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) with a total project cost of Rs 15.84 crore. The cluster project will have a common processing house, auto wrapping, testing labs as well as common treatment plants. The project is spread over two acres with a built-up area of 39,276 sq ft. Director of the project Prakash Kankaria told, “We have completed work on the textile cluster’s building and have also erected machineries there. We are in the process of electrification, which will be completed soon. It will start trial operations from August 26 and commercial operations will begin within a week thereafter.” The government has given deadline of August 28 for commencement of the cluster project. Malegaon is known as the town of powerloom units as there are close to 2 lakh powerloom units in the area.
