As per the tannery owners’ body in Bangladesh, Bangladesh Tanners Association (BTA), around 4.5 lakh pieces of rawhide were collected on Eid day and preserved with salt in Savar Leather Industrial City.
Speaking to the media, BTA General Secretary Md Sakhawat Ullah, reportedly, said, after a week the tanners will collect the salted rawhides.
“This time we did not get the news of rawhide getting damaged,” reportedly, observed the BTA General Secretary, while adding the tanners’ body’s target is to collect one crore pieces of rawhides.
