Expecting a 45-per cent growth in business, Md Shahriar, Director of Cosmo Group told Apparel Resources, “We decided to start our own narrow fabric because the demand for the narrow fabric will definitely rise, given that the lingerie manufacturing is growing in this country and all big lingerie brands will naturally be increasing their sourcing from here. In Bangladesh, there are some compliance issues, and buyers are interested in working with us since Cosmo Group is a compliant company. We have certifications like Oeko Tech, ISO 9001, FSC etc.”
Manufacturing all its products in-house, the company had recently upgraded its machinery. It had also sent its employees on training camps to improve their performance.
Talking about their various products and market, Shahriar added that gum tape is currently the most sought-after product among buyers in Bangladesh, even though every other product in this industry also has much demand in this country. According to him, printed boxes and stickers are also doing well.
The company is currently working with brands like Charles Vogele, Mango, Zara and several other prestigious garment exporters of Bangladesh like Standard Group, Viyellatex Group and Envoy Group. It is also production partners with r-pac International, a global destination for branded packaging, trim and supply chain solutions.
