
The global leader of upstream creative-fashion trade shows, Première Vision Paris’s next edition will be held at Paris Nord Villepinte from 17 to 19 September and will unveil new textile materials and creative design inspirations for the Autumn-Winter 2020-21 collections.
The pinnacle of sportswear inclusive of the designs and technological upgradation in the fabrics will be the limelight at the event.
In line with the blooming market of sportswear, Première Vision’s Sports and Tech sector will be an eminent feature of the show and will be located in the textile universe of Première Vision Fabrics, in Hall 6. It will unite 80 exhibiting weavers – including 8 newcomers – to assist brands and designers in providing inspirations; the Sports and Tech Forum will focus on the crucial theme of “A matter of protection.”
The integration of technological innovations in the sportswear collection is of significance at the flagship event.
The theme “A matter of protection” will emphasise on offering a wider range of fabrics and high-performance materials from the show’s weavers, knitters to cater to the needs of industry professionals.
Marguerite Coiraton, Show Manager of Première Vision Fabrics and in charge of the Sports & Tech trail, explained about the show in a press release, “The September 2019 edition is particularly interested in how clothes are used to protect against the elements, a theme which will certainly dominate the Autumn-Winter 20-21 collections. This concept encompasses, for example, insulation, with the development of thermo-active materials, fabrics and fibres equipped with nanotechnologies, and intelligent augmented protection.”
A wide array of exhibitors, ranging around 700, including Polartech, Swing by Gruppocinque, Global Merino, Schoeller Textiles specialising in sports and technical materials will be present at the show. The entire phenomenon incorporates spinners, weavers, knitters, tanners, accessory makers, textile designers and fashion manufacturers.
Catering with a digital animation about the theme of protection, Première Vision seeks to provide a live demonstration of the variety of environments comprising all the external components like wind, cold, etc. using virtual reality. The idea will be comprehensive for it will include fashion marking the season with combining strong colours, prints, motifs and shine.
Sports & Tech forum will revolve around the following 4 themes: Tech Tailoring, Ski Touring, Soft Outdoor and Snow Fun. Comprehensive and detailed conferences on the inseparable duo of Sports and Fashion will be held to further guide the visitors.
Première Vision Paris, accommodating the six major activity sectors supplying materials and services to the fashion industry (yarns, fabrics, leathers, designs, accessories and fashion manufacturing), focuses on the dynamic leather industry and will be attended by over 300 hand-selected exhibitors like tanners, shredders, manufacturers of materials – textiles, microfibres, stretch, natural fibres, vinyl, lurex, etc. – for leather goods and shoes, of technical solutions or chemical products, certification bodies at Première Vision Leather (Hall 3).

They are required to strictly adhere to the criteria concerning quality, creativity, technology, performance and reputation as evaluated by a Selection Committee. This ensures high quality of the offer to visitors, for the leather goods, footwear and apparel markets.
The Smart Creation is a platform specifically designated by Première Vision to acknowledge the crucial concerns in the leather industry like rethinking tanning processes, improving the traceability of skins and components, taking care of animal welfare and ensuring sustainable production processes.
All the latest innovations will be showcased in the Smart Area for the visitors to discover new options for sustainable manufacturing and eco-responsible practices of production.
