Bangladesh’s apex garment makers’ body of BGMEA recently started a tuberculosis (TB) treatment centre for garment workers at Chasara in Narayanganj area.
According to reports, the centre will test apparel workers for TB and provide treatment and medicines to the infected free of cost even if it may be mentioned here that BGMEA, with the support of the Government, has been running TB control programme in Bangladesh garment sector since 2009 to provide treatment to TB-infected workers.
The new TB treatment centre at Narayanganj was inaugurated by the BGMEA President Faruque Hassan recently.
