Alpine Group, a leading apparel manufacturer, has unveiled a collaboration with traceability solutions provider, FibreTrace with the aim to revolutionise supply chain transparency in the fashion industry while spearheading positive change.
By integrating FibreTrace’s innovative technology with Alpine Group’s manufacturing prowess, brands can empower consumers to trace their garment’s journey through a simple QR code scan on their mobile devices.
FibreTrace’s pioneering technology offers a comprehensive “journey of textile fibres” through a blend of digital and physical tracking, utilising patented luminescent pigments within raw fibers.
All data is recorded within a digital blockchain solution, essentially providing a digital passport for each product.
Shannon Mercer, CEO of FibreTrace, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration’s potential to drive sustainable transformation. She emphasised that this partnership will accelerate access to responsible and traceable fibers from inception to finished garments.
The roll-out of FibreTrace’s technology is scheduled for Q1 2024, coinciding with the launch of Paradise’s sustainable fabric collection, the ‘Fuze Family.’ Meanwhile, Alpine Group’s Egyptian manufacturing division, Alex Apparels, is set to unveil ‘The Factory of the Future.’
Ashok Mahtani, co-founder and chairman of Paradise Textiles, the material science and innovation hub of Alpine Group, explained the pressing need for change within the fashion industry.
