
Suryalakshmi Cotton Mills Limited, one of India’s leading integrated premium yarns to denim to garment manufacturing company with over five decades of market leadership, has reported that its net profit increased by 11.8 per cent year over year to Rs. 7.75 crore in three months ended June 30, 2016.
In the period under consideration, the company’s net revenue stood at Rs. 190.33 crore as compared to Rs. 187.36 crore in the previous fiscal year’s second quarter, marking a surge of 1.6 per cent. Profit before interest, depreciation and tax stood higher by 9.8 per cent at Rs. 29.12 crore compared to Rs. 26.52 crore in the corresponding quarter of 2015.

The company also mentions that during the quarter, new yarn alternatives were prepared for launch at its spinning unit in Maharashtra, which will be used by the denim unit for developing premium and fashion-led fabrics. Additionally, capacity of 2,000 units per day of readymade garments (RMG) has also been added, which is expected to be operational by the end of this financial year.
