
India-based Arvind Limited, one of the largest integrated textile and branded apparel players, has announced results for its first quarter ended 30th June, 2016. In the period under review, the manufacturer noted growth in the consolidate revenue by 18 per cent at Rs. 2,104 crores as against Rs. 1,787 crores in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
The company’s consolidated EBIDTA zoomed 16 per cent at Rs. 241 crores compared to Rs. 208 crores in the same quarter last year. Profit after tax before exceptional items grew by 27 per cent to Rs. 74 crores compared to Rs. 58 crores in the first quarter last year.

Commenting on the results, Jayesh Shah, Director & Chief Financial Officer of the company said, “Our textiles business, which recorded 14 per cent revenue growth, continues to deliver a strong performance as we continue to pursue a calibrated growth strategy. The brands business continues to demonstrate strong growth with 26 per cent growth in the first quarter,” adding, “Our established power brands consolidated their market positions. We are also excited about India’s first true Omni Channel experience – NNNow.com which we launched during the first quarter. NNNow.com redefines shopping for Indian consumers by linking online and offline retail shopping experience.”
