Small and medium level exporters in Jaipur are continuously expanding. About 6 years old Singaar Global, offering wide range of ethnic and Indo-western fashion garments, is adding a new factory of 200 machines. It has already taken 300 square yards of land near Bagru, almost 30 kilometres from Jaipur whose production will start here in October this year. The company is investing US $ 0.33 million (Rs. 2 crore) on this expansion. The same product for which the company is known will be manufactured here for existing as well as new buyers.
Sagar Sharma, CEO of the firm informed Apparel Online, “Apart from domestic market, we are exporting mainly to Europe which has still not picked up but we expect to get good demand in the next 6 months. Secondly, our current capacity is also not as much as we require. Starting a factory near Bagru will help us to source Bagru print fabric. As the checklist of buyers is getting longer, we will try our best to ensure all the norms are fulfilled in our new factory, be it related to day-to-day operations or one-time task. As we do a lot of value addition and take care of quality at every stage, average FOB of our product remains around US $ 10.” Expecting reasonable growth this year Singaar Global is also looking for job workers of digital printing in or around Jaipur. “We are working on some products which require digital printing and as of now we want to outsource this process,” concludes Sagar.
