Mahashakti Thread Mills, a 25-year old Sahibabad based company, is a process house involved in yarn manufacturing too. It will soon increase its polyester yarn dyeing capacity by 4 times and cotton yarn capacity by 3 times. Catering to both domestic as well as corporate clients, the company is planning to go for zero liquid discharge (ZLD) but in the long run. Currently, it has a dyeing capacity of 100 tonnes per month for cotton yarn and 200 tonnes per month for polyester yarn. Being actively involved in garment dyeing with an expertise in denim, its existing capacity is 8 lakh pieces per month. Parveen Jain, Director of the company shared with AOI, “Whatever capacities we have as of now, have been booked by our prestigious clients, so we are expanding for the future. The expansion is supposed to complete in one year. Investment is not an issue for us and we will invest whatever amount is required for this.”

Parveen is of the view that bigger market challenges such as demonetization, GST do not have any major effect on the organized sector and hence, his business is not negatively affected. This has motivated him to venture into further expansion plans. This is also the reason that several other companies from the apparel and textiles segment are investing significantly on infrastructure and increasing their capacities.
The company offers polyester yarn without oil which helps the garment manufacturers as fabric remains stain-free.

Apart from capacity enhancement, Mahashakti Thread Mills is also aggressive on quality products. It has polyester yarn in stock and its clients receive whatever yarn variety they ask for. Speaking about the difference in yarn provided by his company and others, Parveen confidently states, “Most of the polyester yarns available in the market, contain 10 to 15 per cent oil while with the use of technology, we offer such yarn without oil which helps the garment manufacturers as fabric remains stain-free.”
