HP Link Fashion, a trading and sportswear manufacturing company based in Vietnam, has expressed its intent to expand into India.
While discussing the same with Team Apparel Resources, Ana Huynh, Director, HP Link Fashion Co. Ltd., averred that new regulations in sportswear as well as growing health consciousness among Indians has made India a very attractive market.
“India is developing very fast with regard to sportswear sector and this is a good time to be in India,” said Ana, while reasoning company’s efforts to focus on India.
2015-2016 witnessed the Indian sportswear sector grow by an impressive 22 per cent, outpacing the 7 per cent surge of sportswear segment globally.
In fact, by 2020, the segment foresees a growth of another 12 per cent compound annual growth rate or CAGR.
HP Link Fashion believes youth are the biggest consumers of sportswear segment. With this regard, it is pertinent to note that India is all set to be the world’s youngest nation by the year 2020, with 64 per cent of the population expected to be in employed group.
The company also manufactures bottoms, shirts, and t-shirts and some of its esteemed clients include Reebok, Columbia, and Walmart among others.
