Swedish fashion retailer H&M has expanded its partnership with robotics firm Rebl Industries through a framework agreement to roll out AI-powered robots across more warehouse locations.
H&M began using Rebl’s robotic solutions in mid-2024 at its online sales warehouse in the Nordics region of Sweden. The new phase of collaboration will extend the technology’s deployment, with a focus on improving predictability and efficiency in production.
Rebl’s robots, already in use in industrial operations for several years, automate repetitive warehouse tasks including sorting, palletising and depalletising. The company offers its systems through a robots-as-a-service (RaaS) model, designed to lower barriers to adoption by avoiding the upfront costs typically associated with automation.
As part of its international growth strategy, Rebl has appointed Nicholas Tengelin as its first external chief executive officer. His mandate includes expanding the firm’s market presence.
Rebl co-founder and Pulsen Fusion CEO Alexander Westerling said the robots have been able to integrate quickly into warehouse operations, reducing repetitive work for employees and increasing efficiency. He added that the technology opens new automation opportunities for industries that previously could not access robotics.
