According to a top Chinese industry official, Qingdao Haijia Machinery Co. Ltd., which is one of the prominent Chinese textile machinery manufacturers, has started its negotiations to set up a manufacturing plant for its products in Karachi, Pakistan.
The interest to start this plant was conveyed by the Chinese company during the 10th International Textile Machinery and Garment Technology Exhibition (IGATEX) 2017 at the Expo Centre, held earlier this week.

The Minister of International Trade, Qingdao Haijia said that the company has plans to establish their Waterjet and Airjet Loom machines in Karachi. “We are waiting for the trade policies to become feasible so as to establish the manufacturing plant in Karachi,” she remarked.
The company has a major share in textile machinery exports of China with its customers in Pakistan, India, Vietnam, South Korea, North Korea, Indonesia, Egypt, Nepal, and other countries.
