Brosiomeccanica of Italy has been operating since 1981 in the design, construction and implementation of customized machinery for rolling and packaging of products in the home-textile industry. Being in the forefront of this sector for 20 years, Brosiomeccanica has recently entered the Indian market; and since its arrival a year ago, the company has been studying the market for prospective customers and how best to position itself in the vastly competitive Indian market. Fortunately, the company is receiving some good response from the likes of Reliance, Wellspun, Mahajan Overseas, Trident and few other such prestigious names. “What distinguishes us from others is the fact that we supply fully automatic machinery at a complete project level, where our machines will be placed right from the initial point to the end. Even our smaller machines are getting attention amongst the medium level players,” says Brosio Pasquale, General Manager of the company, defining his strategy. However, Brosio accepts that Brosiomeccanica, being a European company dealing in fully automatic setups, is slightly high-priced for the Indian market. It is therefore that the company is refraining from targeting the unorganized or developing companies and is talking to the big corporate players.
Brosiomeccanica pays special attention to its customers and the responsibility for the sales and post-sale service is being ably handled by its dealer in the country, Magnum Resources. “Our agents have 4 offices, in Ludhiana, Ahmedabad,
Mumbai and Kolkata, and more than 30 dealers across country. Their sales and service team, both come from a textile background, which is a big support in handling our product,” says Matteo Brosio, Production Manager of the company.
